The short version.

ILoveCALCS is a collection of free calculators that run entirely in your browser. You can use all of our calculators without creating an account. However, we offer an optional Google login to enable features like saving your favorite calculators. We never store the numbers you type into the calculator inputs on our servers, and we do not sell or share your personal data. We use Google Analytics to understand site usage in aggregate and Google AdSense to show ads, both of which are explained in detail below.

Log files

Like many other websites, ilovecalcs.com makes use of log files. The information inside the log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, type of browser, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and number of clicks. This data is used to analyze trends, administer the site, track user movement around the site, and gather demographic information. IP addresses and other such information are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.

Cookies and web beacons

ilovecalcs.com uses cookies to store information about visitors' preferences, to record user-specific information on which pages the user accesses or visits, and to customize web page content based on the visitor's browser type or other information that the visitor sends via their browser.

Local storage

In addition to cookies, ilovecalcs.com may use your browser's local storage or session storage to save user preferences, such as your light/dark theme choice or authentication state, ensuring a seamless experience across visits.

Accounts and Google Login

While you are not required to log in to use ilovecalcs.com, we offer an optional authentication feature using Google Login. If you choose to log in, we receive basic profile information from Google, including your email address, name, and profile picture. This information is used strictly to provide account features, such as saving your favorite calculators to our database so they can be synced across your devices. If you wish to delete your account and associated data, please contact us.

Calculator inputs are not transmitted

All calculations happen client-side in your browser. Even if you are logged in to save favorites, the actual numbers you type into any calculator on the site, including financial figures, body measurements, passwords, tax inputs, and dates are not transmitted to our servers, never logged, and disappear when you close or refresh the tab. Only your saved favorite calculator preferences are stored in our secure database.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to monitor and analyze the use of our website. Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our service. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the official Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Google AdSense and the DoubleClick DART cookie

Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on ilovecalcs.com. Google's use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads to users based on their visit to ilovecalcs.com and other sites on the Internet. Users may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google ad and content network privacy policy at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

Third-party vendors

Third-party ad servers or ad networks use technology to send the advertisements and links that appear on ilovecalcs.com directly to your browser. They automatically receive your IP address when this occurs. Other technologies (such as cookies, JavaScript, or web beacons) may also be used by the third-party ad networks to measure the effectiveness of their advertisements and/or to personalize the advertising content that you see. ilovecalcs.com has no access to or control over these cookies that are used by third-party advertisers.

Children's information

We believe it is important to provide additional protection for children online. We encourage parents and guardians to spend time online with their children to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their online activity. ilovecalcs.com does not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

Your choices and rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (notably the EU under GDPR and California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights including:

• The right to access the personal data we hold about you;
• The right to request correction or deletion of personal data;
• The right to opt out of personalized advertising and analytics;
• The right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

You can also disable cookies entirely in your browser settings. Most browsers expose a "Block all cookies" or site-specific control under Privacy/Security settings. Note that doing so may affect some features of the site (theme preference, dismissed banners) but does not stop you from using any calculator.

Data retention

Aggregate analytics data is retained by Google according to the data-retention setting we have configured in Google Analytics (default: 14 months for event data). We do not maintain a separate database of personal data on our own infrastructure; there is none to retain.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and all calculator computation happens in your browser, never on a server that could be breached. We rely on our hosting provider and Google's standard security practices for the third-party services described above.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage or via a banner for a reasonable period after they take effect.
