Physics Calculators

Force, energy, motion, electricity, and physics formula tools.

Back to Home

Physics is a small, formula-driven category — six tools covering motion (speed/distance/time, projectile motion), electricity (Ohm's law), energy (kinetic energy), and basic properties (density, wave speed). All of them use idealized, textbook formulas: the projectile motion calculator, for instance, doesn't model air resistance, which is standard for an intro physics course but means real-world trajectories — a thrown ball, a fired projectile — will fall short of the calculator's prediction, especially at higher speeds.

That idealization is a deliberate simplification, not a bug — it's the same assumption most first-semester physics problems make, and it's what makes the formulas solvable by hand. As with most of the math and science categories, each page's guide section shows the underlying formula alongside the calculator, not just the final number.

Electricity (Ohm's law) is the outlier in the group — the only tool here that isn't about motion or energy — but it fits the same pattern as the rest: a single formula, three related variables, and a page built around solving for whichever one you don't already know.
